I love writing, I have written extensively for platforms like Momxpresso, World of Women etc on topics such as parenting, lifestyle, food, travel, humour and politics. I have had the opportunity to interview some artists that you may know of - Tisca Chopra, Lara Dutta, Mahesh Bhupathi, Neha Dhupia, Boman Irani, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Geeta Phogat, Adhuna Bhabhani etc and I have done content for brands such as Johnson and Johnson, Mamaearth, FirstCry, VLCC, Pampers to name a few. As my hobby, I run a successful mommy community on Facebook with 25000 plus members - it is recognised by Facebook as one of the prominent and most active Women's Group in India.
How important are communication skills as part of grooming?
In my opinion, they are of utmost importance. A good physique, a beautiful face or an amazing attire can land you a good first impression but to make it a *lasting* one, it has to be communication (word choice, tone, speed) body language (posture, eye contact). Bad diction/wrong grammar are big turn offs.
How should one work on communication?
The ground work includes polishing grammar and pronunciations. Fear of public speaking needs to go. Reading (a lot) always helps in imbibing the essence of any language.
You are a part of Niche Academy. What is the plan?
Language and Communication are an integral part of any grooming process. In my sessions, the focus will be on public speaking and diction.
